Together, the gunsmith and the customer choose the stock from a selection of top-notch Circassian walnut burl that is commonly several hundred years old. Circassian walnut is considered the strongest in the world and shows a seemingly infinite variation of color, contrast and pattern. The stock is custom fitted and sculpted according to the client´s wishes to produce a perfectly balanced hunting weapon that responds fluidly to the shooter´s eyes and hands.
Stock Finishing
Time consuming filing and sanding techniques are combined with a secret recipe of traditional oils laboriously applied over many months, bringing to life the wood’s complex depth of color and grain, and simultaneously protecting the wood even from rugged use.
